But its also true to say that no matter how tightly managed your diabetes is, we all have those days when we’re up and down for no apparent reason. Why Do We Need to Declare our Diabetes?

Like most pre-existing conditions, there are laws and regulations to protect diabetics; discrimination in the workplace being a good example. Even outside of office hours you’re entitled to your own privacy and are not obliged to declare your diabetes in the majority of situations, except one. travel insurance, yes if you’re planning a trip outside of your home country, you need your diabetes to be covered.
